MITCHELL, IN (AUGUST 8th, 2018) - Current MSCS Points Leader and Marion, Illinois native Carson Short will tighten the belts on the #5 Chase Briscoe Racing Machine at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN for the Hooiser Sprint Nationals this weekend, August 11th, 2018. So far in 2018, Short has amassed 5 Non-Wing Sprint Car Feature victories. He has also captured a feature win 2 years ago at The Class Track. Spirits and expectations are high going in to this weekend and we caught up with Carson who had this to say:

"I'm just really excited for the opportunity to drive for CBR, I think it will be good for me and hopefully for the team as well! I will give it my all to get the team some more wins this year!"

The pit gate will open at 3:30 P.M. Warm-ups begin at 6:00 with group qualifying before the racing action starting at 7:30 C.D.T.
